MANUAL PHYSIOTHERAPY
MANUAL MOBILIZATION
The immobility, often exaggerated, that happens after a traumatic osteoarticular event, is responsible for a "functional instability" of the concerned segment with early loss of motility and of muscle strength. The manual mobilization, of a blocked articular district, performed by the therapist and suggested by the physiatrist, is an integral part of our rehabilitation protocols and is essential for a full recovery.
CHIROPRACTIC MOBILIZATION AND MANIPULATION
These are specific techniques used by therapists to facilitate the joint movement of particular body segments (especially the spine and pelvis) and solve a painful symptomatology and postural related defects.
FUNCTIONAL RE-EDUCATION
It is a very important phase of a rehabilitation protocol, especially after a joint trauma, that foresees a complex work both on the recovery of muscle strength and the joint mobility range , but mainly dependent on the proprioceptive system to control the stability during the movement: the aim is to fully restore the functionality of the area affected by the trauma.
POSTURAL RE-EDUCATION
Chronic muscle tensions can alter the normal body symmetry, with the outcome of morphological imbalances and painful contractions of difficult interpretation and resolution. The postural re-education is an unique method of global musculoskeletal rehabilitation, working on the recovery of balance and elasticity through strengthening and stretching of specific muscular ranges with active and progressive postures.
