THE REHABILITATION IN THERMAL WATER

The thermal water is an extraordinary resource in the field of rehabilitation. An area of the Hotel La Residence is entirely dedicated to the Idrokinesis Centre®, where most of the rehabilitation is done through the immersion of the patient accompanied by the therapist in thermal water. The traditional rehabilitation and the innovation offered by treatments in the therapeutic thermal pools represent the new challenge of the GB Thermae Hotels medical team in the area of motor and functional recovery.

Many pathological conditions such as fractures, trauma, orthopedic surgery, arthrosis and other rheumatic diseases and neurological disorders, in fact, they are effectively treated using treatment protocols designed to achieve more rapid physiological recovery, pain and psychological improvements. The immersion in thermal water suitably cooled to a temperature between 30 and 35 degrees joins muscle relaxant and analgesic effect, characteristic of its chemical composition and the action of dynamization caused by numerous water jets and micronized by designated mixers arranged along the edge of the basin. The result is a comprehensive treatment of hydrotherapy, extremely pleasant and efficient, which speeds up recovery time, reduces pain and reflected muscle contracture.

The Idrokinesis® basin was specifically designed with three areas of different depth and size for a personalized hydro-kinesis-therapeutic treatment in thermal water for all body areas. Two therapeutic pools, designed to meet the needs of each patient based on their diseases, are reserved to the individual treatments, which is especially essential in cases of demanding diseases.
The circulatory and lymphatic disorders of the lower limbs are faced using a particular path in the thermal pools of contrast, with depth and temperature variable. Each treatment is constantly monitored by a special video system placed in specific areas of the basins, which allows the patient to self correct his posture in the water, performing properly the prescribed therapy. The access to the Idrokinesis® pool has been specially designed also for people with walking difficulties. A special mechanical device facilitates the entry and exit from the water to all those who can not do so themselves.
